Sprint charts show clear visibility about new Stories added/removed after sprint has been started. This gives clear vision about how sprint is doing and for the team to understand the deviation and take corrective actions in future planning.

Sprint Start Point

At starting of sprint every chart displays Ideal point and Projected Point based on sprint planning. This is to secure the starting point of the sprint so that change can be plotted over with respective to start point.

New Added in Sprint

If Story/Task is added after sprint has been started, then the chart will show deviation.

If there are x items added today then there will be two points plotted today. First point from Last day to (LastDay + x ), and a second point from (Lastday+2) to today’s burndown. Here X can be Estimation points / Estimates/ Count for various sprint charts.

Removal of any story from sprint

If Story/Task Is removed after sprint has been started, then also chart will show deviation.

If there are x items removed today then there will be two points plotted today. First point from Last day to (LastDay – x ), and a second point from (LastDay – x) to today’s burndown. Here X can be Estimation points / Estimates/ Count for various Sprint charts.
